Restoration

At Arabesque we are able to perform a wide range of restoration services to antique furniture and interiors. All pieces can be restored to their original condition prior to damage, retaining the age and patination of the wood.

We cover insurance work to furniture, flooring and panelling which has been damaged due to fire or flood.

Hand Carving

All our furniture is hand carved using traditional techniques and tools. We provide a bespoke service to personalise your furniture, from 16th century designs to your own design or coat of arms. Our friendly design team will help you create your individual piece of furniture.

Gilding

We provide a gilding service which covers Traditional water gilding using 23 carat loose leaf in a variety of 6 shades and oil gilding for inside the house on wood, plaster, and metal and outside the house on metal and stone. We are experienced in repairing gilt picture frames and mirrors, gilt chairs and table feet to dado rails in French styled panel rooms.

Upholstery

Our upholstery department has experience with all types of cloth and antique furniture, including dining chairs, chaise longue to sofas and more modern seated furniture. We have a huge range of materials to choose from and a very helpful head of department to help you.
